Customer story · NorthStar Fitness Co

She built her whole store by typing

Dre owns NorthStar Fitness Co, a veteran-owned supplement and merch brand in Texas. Her old store ran on WordPress and WooCommerce. She moved to a new brand and a new domain. A web shop quoted her $9,000 to build the new store. She built it herself, by chat, for under $100.

On April 20, 2026 she got a Mothership starter site and a private assistant wired to it, to her Square account, Mailchimp and Google Analytics. Everything on northstarfitnessco.com after that came through the chat.

Before and after

Same business, new store

Before
The old NorthStar Nutrition WordPress homepage as archived: a grey hero reading The New Standard for Supplements above two product photos; the logo image did not archive and shows as a broken image
northstarsupps.com, April 2025, from the Internet Archive. WordPress + WooCommerce on shared hosting. The archive did not save the old logo image, so it shows as a broken image at top left; everything else is as it was.
After
The new NorthStar Fitness Company homepage: a full-bleed gym photo with the headline The New Standard for Athletes and Shop Now button
northstarfitnessco.com, October 23, 2026. Built through the chat on a Mothership starter site.

NorthStar is a part-time business, so the pattern is bursts, not a daily habit: the store build in May, the retail launch in August with event pages, flyers, QR codes and new merch, and new product pages in September. When there is something to change, she opens the chat and changes it.
