Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Mothership Management, Inc. ("Mothership," "we," "us") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects information in connection with the Mothership platform at mothership-management.com and the services we provide to our customers. It includes specific disclosures about data we access through Google APIs, such as Google Analytics.
Who we are
Mothership Management, Inc. is a business-operations platform based in Austin, Texas. We help our customers build websites, connect their business tools, and understand their own analytics in one place.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — name, email address, business name, and similar details you give us when you sign up or contact us.
- Connection details — when you connect a third-party tool (for example Google Analytics, HubSpot, Mailchimp, Square, or Stripe), we store the credentials or access tokens needed to provide the service on your behalf.
Information we collect automatically
- Usage and device data — our website uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device and browser type). This is standard web analytics about our own site.
How we access and use Google user data
When you choose to connect your Google Analytics account to Mothership, we ask for your permission using Google's standard OAuth consent screen. We request the following access:
- Google Analytics — read only (
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/analytics.readonly): lets us list the Google Analytics accounts and properties you have access to so you can choose which one to connect, and read that property's reporting data so we can display it back to you inside Mothership. - Your email address (
openid, email): used only to identify and label the connected Google account so you can recognize and manage it.
We use Google user data for one purpose: to provide the analytics features you asked for — showing you your own Google Analytics data within Mothership. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not use it to train machine-learning or AI models.
Limited Use disclosure
Mothership's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
How we store and protect your data
Access tokens and refresh tokens for connected services are stored securely and are used only to make requests on your behalf to the service you connected. Access is restricted to the systems that provide your Mothership services. We request read-only access to Google Analytics wherever the feature allows it, and scope access to the specific property you select.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and connection information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. When you disconnect a service or close your account, we delete the associated access and refresh tokens. We may retain limited records where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information or your Google user data. We share information only:
- with service providers (such as hosting and infrastructure vendors) who process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations;
- when required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Mothership, our customers, or the public; and
- in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), subject to this Policy.
Your choices and how to revoke access
You can disconnect a connected service at any time from within Mothership. You can also review and revoke Mothership's access to your Google account directly at myaccount.google.com/permissions. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the address below and we will delete it, subject to any legal retention requirements.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies set by Google Analytics to measure site usage. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them will not affect your ability to use the core service.
Children's privacy
Mothership is a business tool and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email where appropriate.
